First to land a job on an offshore oilrig you must have experience(lots of it) working on oilrigs on shore.
It isnt easy to get on the off shore oilrigs nowadays because there is so much training involved as well as safety issues that arrise with green oilrig workers. If you think youve got what it takes to pull dragons from the ground , why not head for Alberta.
Starting wage for a green roughneck in Alberta: between 24 - 28 dollars an hour.
I must warn you though its no walk in the park , be ready to put out like you never have at any job before!
