The earth's circumference around the equator is 24,902 miles.

How long is a football field (by the way, it is the american football or the international football, as known as soccer?)?

If you know the length of a football field in meter, just convert the earth circumference into kilometer (km) or meter:

1 mile = 1.6093 km = 1609.3 meter

If you know the length of a football field in feet, then use the following:

1 mile = 5280 feet

If you know the length of a football field in yard, then use the following:

1 mile = (5280/3) yard

Remember that an American football field is NOT 100 yards long as is commonly believed. That is only the distance between the goal lines, you must also consider the depth of both end zones.
