what happens after college? do u work for a public accounting firm or a corporate firm? which is the best way to go?

It varies from state to state. Some states require you to work in a firm for a certain amount of time before you can become a CPA. Others require more education and offer the CPA exam upon graduating. I recommend starting out in a corporate firm. You get a lot of experience that way and they will always be hiring accountants. From there, you could choose to go to a smaller firm or whatever you want to do.

If you want to become a CPA I believe you have to put in some hours in a public firm.
Otherwise you are a-OK to go into corporate.
