I bought a replacement mirror for my 98 Mustang. It is a stock item. How can I replace the mirror on my car?
Thanks!
Kimberley

I would like to try to do it myself. It will cost $80 for someone to put it on for me. I just installed a K&N Air intake system and this was easy so I figure a mirror couldn't be difficult.

If your able to put in a K&N I think once you buy that mirror, and look at it you'll see the 2 or 3 screws that hold it on the door. At this point you'll see that the trim pops off behind the screws of the old mirror. If its power, remember the wires. If you brake it, you've already bought it. Thats how I learned and still do to this day.

get a cheap manual for the car and that should give you and idea. you will also have a fair grasp on what it will take when you remove the old one

If it's worth it, have a pro do it.
I work in the auto glass industry.
