Do they mean it's still in testing? ex. Yahoo! Mail beta.

They usually say "beta" because it is secondary and beta is the second letter in the Greek alphabet, if I remember correctly. (Alpha is the first.) So, they use the term "beta" to mean something that is in its test or trial phase.

yes all beta are a test and have some problems ,it's best to wait for the next version, unless you want to try it out
