Over the summer,my friend McKenzie got in a fight with my other friend Brieyana.Now we are in school and I am in the same homeroom with all my friends and Brieyana.McKenzie is in a different class.At recess and lunch I either smile or wave at McKenzie and she either gives me a dirty look,rolls her eyes,or ignores me.What should I do?!!

Girls can be very catty. Go up to McKenzie when there are no other people around (so she doesn't think it's just an act) and ask her why she's mad at you. Explain to her that you were friends with both her and Brieyana before they got in a fight and that you don't want to have to choose sides. Explain to her that you still want to be her friend, but that you're also still friends with Brieyana. Tell her that her friendship is important to you. Hopefully she'll see that you're sincere and will think enough of your friendship to want to make amends. If not, maybe she's not the kind of friend you want anyway. Friends should stick by each other through good and bad.

well if you still go to recess then i really wouldn't worry about it. It's not the end of the world if you lose some friends. it's really stupid to fight over something when your in that stage of your life. what school are you in Middle or Elementary? because if it's middle then i wouldn't worry about losing some friends at this moment. when you go to high school it'll be the same thing. you lose some friends but you gain a lot more of them. and i would just try and stay out of as much drama as you can. it's really not fun. but its OK to watch it. lol

If that were me, i would just be very kind to both of them.. if your friend gives u looks like that just say hey, im friends with both of u and just because u 2 r fighting doesnt mean that i have to take a side. You can still be both of their friends, not a problem- a good friend wouldnt put u in the uncomfortable position to choose friends.

It sounds like an apology is in order. Apologize sincerely to her and let her know that you want very much to be her friend again. You must be sincere and mean it though. After you do this...it is up to her to decide whether that friendship will continue.
