I wanna make new friends but I'm shy and I've tried makin friends in yahoo chat rooms but everyone there is only interested in sex. Nobody is looking for a friend. Can anyone help me?

Friendship actually requires face to face meeting. NO one you meet in a chat room or online is going to actually be a friend. They can't be. It's a place where you don't have to be who you are. I know you have interests other than keyboarding, so pursue them. For everything you like to do there are a million people who also like it. Work at it a little and don't expect friends to drop out of the sky.

Get involved in clubs, sports, or something you enjoy. Or find a class that you are really into, chance are that there's someone in there as passionate about the interest like music, art, math, etc. and you'll run into them. Or if it doesn't work, ask someone that you'd like to meet about where something is or homework. You'll hit it off. Don't be shy, everyone's a person, god will give you a friend. PRAYING can help.
