I have windows XP. I've tried to save a picture (just something cute I saw on line) to my desktop as "background"(by right clicking on the image). However, the image is always distorted. Please tell me how I can avoid this! Thank you.

Try to get images that are very close to your screen resolution, 1024x768, 800x600, etc. You may have gotten an image that is a small one for a big resolution, try staying as close to yours as possible to get the best view. Good Luck

After setting the picture as the backdrop, right click on the desktop itself, go to properties, click the desktop tab at the top, and then you can change the position. Often stretch is the one that distorts (because your picture isn't the same dimensions as your screen) so you can change to tile or center.

Once you get the picture on your computer, go into display properties and set the wallpaper to either tile, or to center..
that should cure any problems of distortion, orrrr, find a full screen sized picture of the same thing.. :)

u right click the object an goto save as desktop background
