I got my splits in less than a week for dance team tryouts several years ago. If you're at all in the same situation, I understand the need to get them quickly. Make sure you're at least semi-warmed up before doing anything stretchy. Then, slowly stretch into your splits after doing other leg stretches. Don't bounce or jump into a split if you can't already do one. This could rip, tear, or strain your muscles. Do them slowly, and hold them for at least 30 seconds each. It doesn't matter if you aren't in a full split. Stretch into it until you can feel it stretching. It should hurt a little bit, but it should be bearable. Do this every night, or maybe twice a day if you can. If you keep it up regularly, you should get them fairly quickly. Just remember to lsiten to your body. You know it best. If you're stretching and something doesn't feel right, stop. You should be feeling a stretch, not pain.

try this;when you dance stand with your legs apart and slide down. In time you'll be able to do it, trust me. that only center splits. When I was learning, I kneeled with one leg out and pressed down. That also helps too.

From a guy who cant do one. Be sure to warm up carefully to avoid injuries.

just stretch twice a day until you can't feel tension any longer. your body has "limits" you don't cross the limits but you push them. eventually you will get it!
