I myself am going to go for the PS3. The Wii is a bit to weak in the graphics department for me, seeing that the PS3 is 512 bits and the Wii is only half that. I also don't like all the kid games that Nintendo is putting on the Wii, after you get past Zelda and metroid all you have left are games for children 14 and under. I do like the fact that you can download old Nintendo games on-line with the Wii, but in the end it doesn't have what i want. The controller is the selling point for the Wii, Nintendo cares more about how does the game feel and not to much on graphics. I think the PS3 offers killer game-play (feel) and great graphics, so when the Wii comes out i will not buy it for me, i will be getting the PS3.

Okay, I know I'll probably be the differing opinion on this one, but I don't like it. It seems to me to be almost too interactive. This for me takes away some of the feel of video games. Plus if your fishing etc, you have to actually cast like you would in real life. Can you say someones broken nose? I like the way games are structured to be able to fit into a corner of sorts and to remain some what outta the way. I don't have a very big house, in fact the living room may be smaller then my bedroom to be honest.
It just seems like one of those that will have mild flaws when people get them and with all the attachments you will be able to buy, it's gonna be like buying a system the whole time your playing as I don't expect Nintendo to just stop making them but rather use the attachments to "milk" money.

I'm going to buy it because
1. It is Seriously next generation
2. The new Zelda game + Motion technology + Nintendo= Sweet!
3. I can play it with my 5 and 9 year old siblings
4. the games that are sure to come out later in the year after (sniff) the Gamecubes tragic 3 year long Death.
So I'd say... yes, its pretty cool
