I love Brazil and I haven't even been there yet! :) I guess that it is because I have become friends with every Brazilian I have met in the US.

I began learning Portuguese earlier this year and hope to travel to Brazil in December for 7 - 10 days. However, I haven't been very consistent in my studying the past couple of months. I'm already beginning to forget what I've already learned! Argh!

In July 2007 I would like to attend 4 - 5 weeks of Portuguese classes at PUC-RIO. I would live in a 1 bedroom apartment in Copacabana.

A good friend of mine just returned from 6 months in Sao Paulo. He LOVED it! He wrote to several of us every week, telling of all of the friends he was making.

My general view of Brazil is very, very positive. The people are more relational that here in the USA. I think that "time slows down" in Brazil too, even if you're in the city. However, I know that tourists are also prime targets from petty thieves in Rio. So, I'll keep an eye on my wallet. Otherwise, I anticipate a great time of getting to know many new people.

Hottest chicks in the world are there. They sold their victory in the last worldcup. They have too many gay people, more girls for me. They have skinhead clans there (how can that be?)
