I am a faithfull red sox fan, but honestly! They were having an ok season, then WHAM! What happened?

I'm a red sox fan also. To many injuries the pitching stinks. now we have david ortize out with a heart problem. hopefully they can turn the season around but they need to do it fast. GO SOXS

Hurt players. Varitek being injured hurt very badly because of the confidence he gave the pitchers so now the pitching is bad. Francona has also been making many small mistakes i.e. leaving Willy Mo Pena in when facing a wild pitcher (Pena cant walk). The club has also just been demoralized, when they hear that their season is over so many times on the news and from the fans, they start to believe it.

Simple ... injuries: Manny, Papi, Alex Gonzalez, Jon Lester, Varitek, Nixon, Wakefield, Clement, Lenny DiNardo, and Adam Stern. They lost Willy Mo and Cocoa Crisp for a period of time, and Youkilis has the flu, Boomer was out for a while too. Only one member from the World Series team played in last night's game (Foulke).

Good players are injured and luck is luck. I think the yankees just overruled us this summer. Don't worry though the Red Sox always beat the yankees in my heart!

I hear that! I think it's because Veritek went down. He is definitely the leader of the team. Guys rally behind him. Plus our pitching sucks. Beckett hasnt done **** and Shilling can only bail us out so many times from slumps. Now that Papi is done I fear that the Evil Empire will once again take the division..... That's fine though, we can enjoy them getting their asses kicked in the playoffs.

They are still demoralized and embarassed after the Yankees swept them those 5 games.
Now they just suck, and are plagued by injuries. Do they even want to play anymore??? It sure doesn't seem like it!
