The Rio, it a little off the strip but a lot of fun.

Don't go too cheap or you might regret it. Too cheap and you will be way off the strip and/or in some seedier hotel. I recommend the Monte Carlo. I stayed there in the past and got a really good deal. It's not the newest or flashiest hotel, but it is right on the strip in the middle of all the action.

I am currently staying in Vegas at the South Coast Hotel. Very nice hotel, just build in Dec 2005. I only paying $40.00 a night. I book my trip online at www.tripres.com. Its about 4 miles from the strip but they do have shuttle bus or rent a car for cheap.

I like the Flamingo. It's an oldie, but goodie. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable. Room service is great. The swimming pool is sensational and there are many other amenities.
You can usually get a good deal on the room rate -- I believe when I last went, it was $69/night for a wonderful room.
And don't miss the Second City show there.

There are many. Depening on how long you plan to stay, and if your looking for a casino enviorment or just a motel room. I would suggest any of the Station Propertys,ie:Boulder Station Texas Station and the like. Reasonable rates and down to earth places, but still with that Vegas Thrill

The Orleans.. hands down the best VALUE in vegas. It is about a 2 min ride off the strip, the hotel provides a shuttle.

The Monte Carlo is nice and not that expensive. THey usually have good specials. Now if you are really on a budget,,,the Excalibur offers a descent room for a good price and they have a nice pool. Really slim budget...circus circus rooms start at 55 a night. Have fun!
