I think they should be allowed the opportunity to serve in our army, and the ones that do choose to serve should be given preferential treatment and allowed to enter our nation sooner than the ones who don't. That might be fair.
However, not everyone is fit to serve in the army so it can't be a requirement.

No! Americans are not forced to serve in the Armed Forces why should they?
That's disgusting, "Let's just send them out on the front line to fight in a war for a country they don't even belong to yet and IF they make it back alive Then they can become an American!"

How many days did you, American citizen, served in the Army? Can you tell me, without looking at the flag right now,how many stripes are there and how many white and how many reds? But i am sure, the immigrants will tell you.

Maybe all citizens, natural-born or not, should have to serve in the army. Everyone benefits from society, so we should all give back.
Many countries already do this. Check the link out.

I don't like that idea. Our Military is an All volunteer Military those serving are doing it because they Chose to do so. We don't need Thousands of Illegals with BAD attitudes screwing up the Military. If they come here and WANT to serve. I believe they should be allowed and it should lead to a Direct road to a US citizenship for them. If they willingly volunteer to place themselves in harms way for the defense of our Nation that TRULY shows they wanna be here. So Volunteers YES Forced in NO WAY.

no. not all immigrants would be able to serve in the military because you dont have to be fit to become a citizen and you dont even need to know the language right away. it wouldnt work and we would just have more illegal immigrants than we do now if that were the case.

Personally, all should serve regardless of citizenship. I hate seeing these "Freedom isn't Free" stickers on SUV's. Yeah it's not free but it's okay as long as someone else pick's up the check? DO YOUR PART!

No. Our military is the best in the world. Strictly professional and volunteer and it should remain that way.
The military is not for everyone. I watched many weak minded individuals fake injuries and everything else to get out. Even though they volunteered. It would only increase exponentially if our military was not volunteer.

no. i believe in freedom. freedom is not what happens when you spend a year or two being indoctrinated into following orders.
they already valued america when they risked everything to be here. i don't know why the place you were born should determine anything about your values or beliefs. you are an american because your parents were... you have had to prove nothing. that is the way it should be. if you love liberty, that is enough.

Chances are you won't make SEAL's or JTF2. Don't join the military if your only interest of it is only because of spec ops. Please, don't join the Canadian army if your like that. I'd be more than happy if you went to the U.S because all you care about is being a SEAL.
