well in response to a reason question i would think that I must have and would also admit that it is my mistake for thinking inteligent responces were going to be recieved I'm not ignorant however my spelling and grammar could use a lot of help but I say what I mean and I mean what I say the question was who is anyone to judge another for the way they chose to live or believe if not hurting others by what they believe or how they live and if they do wouldn't it be justice if the perpitrators were the ones held accountable insted of all thier nieghbors look I do not pretend to be knowledgable about life, its still a voyage for me at 35 ,but i have served this country with pride and honor and have always done what i believed to be right and just for me and my family and those who know me i hope they see me as a stand up guy a little loopy but stand up kind of guy .now the question remains ,why are our leaders imposing our military will on a country that does not want us their? We were at war. You must have missed it. We pounded Iraq out of Kuwait. It was in all the papers and on the news, surprised you missed it. Try googling "Desert Storm". Anyway, Iraq agreed to terms of surrender and did not comply. Years later we were attacked in NY at the World Trade Center and we responded by doing nothing. Since we did nothing a weakness was seen and we were attacked again at the same World Trade Center. This time it fell. All this was on the news you may have caught some of it? ...So, after this second attack we decided to respond this time. We killed two birds with one stone by taking Sadam out and fighting Alqeada in Iraq. The Democrats voted to go to war as did the Republicans and now even though we know that Alqeada is in Iraq, the majority of the Democrats want to leave Iraq. They wish to show weakness again as we did when Clinton was in office. YES WE WERE ATTACKED! By Alqueda, and we know Alqeada is in Iraq, so what's so hard to understand?

You say you have served this country with pride & honor. That is not necessarily serving in the military and until you are more specific, i'm going to assume you were not. Some of the men that you see at the borders COULD be on their way to threatening your home. I am not judging you by what you believe but I am trying to tell you what I believe to help answer your question. I would like to see PROOF that Iraq does not want us there. That is a very argumentive point. Some of the Iraqis in the government want us to stay until they are able to provide their own security. I do not think our leaders are imposing our military on any country that does not want us there. If you have served your country with pride and honor, why don't you continue to do so? Support our war on terror. Iraq just happens to be one front of that war.

It's because the leaders of this country are profiting off of the war with Iraq. They are profiting off of the oil in Iraq. Yet all they have to do is mention the word terrorism and the people of this country will believe anything. It's really quite sad that our own leaders will use fear to control us.
To those that say we are not there for the oil, then why are we there? Neither Iraq or Sadam had anything at all to do with 9/11. They did not have WMD's. We obviously aren't there for humanitarian reasons as some would like to believe. If that were the case, then why aren't we doing something about the genocide in Darfur? Or the violence and atrocities in many other countries?

Because while we were turning our cheek during the Clinton years, the terrorists did not quit trying to think up ways to kill us. What they have sought the most is a country that would not only harbor and protect them, but would fund their dirty work and supply them with chemical, biological, and nuclear weapons. Saddam Hussein and Iraq was drawing closer to being the best option for them. To let the terrorists establish themselves in Iraq and the land of rich oil reserves would have been folly of the highest order. We may not have had the very best plan for Iraq, but doing nothing was not working either. After they invaded Kuwait an while they continued to shoot at our airplanes, they were working hard to find ways to destroy us. Perhaps you think sitting on your front porch and waiting for that to happen is a great strategy. If that is what you want, this is America....Go For It!

This is the arrogance of too many Americans. I respect your right to say what you feel and how you feel. KEEP IT UP. You are absolutely correct, America has suddenly become a robot that's got loose. Attacking at will and people like you you have served the country on the battle field have a stronger voice than any of us. Note that Bush and his family never fight for anything.. They just reap the rewards.
