Leaping aside to avoid a speeding cylist on the pavement, I was run down by an electric invalid carriage. Is it safer to walk in the road or should I have Tesco deliver?

Hope your ankle is not broken. Mind you, what I want to know is why cyclists and invalid carriages do not have to have insurance. I got knocked over by an invalid carriage and cut my leg. If they had been driving a car, I could have sued for thousands. What did I get out of it? Not even an apology!!! The fact that I was carrying about 6 bags of shopping at the time had nothing to do with it - it was my fault - I should have moved out of the way! So all I got was a mouthful of abuse (interesting from a woman aged about 75!)

Get Tesco to deliver ... and dial 118 247 to find a psychiatrist who does home visits and takes credit cards!

I think it is quite safe to walk on the pavement because after all that is where pedestrians are supposed to be.
By the way, hope the ankle gets better soon.
