What reason could he possibly have. Most fathers are eager to show off their babies. His treatment of Katie also is weird, keeping her also under lock and key. What is with this behavior, Scienctology rules???

I heard it is because of scientology rules about taking babies in public. (don't know how true it is since I don't know much about scientology).
But other than that TC is kind of a freak anyway...

I think he isn't the father. I'm not saying katie had an affair, I just think he isn't able to reproduce.
1) His wife claimed the same thing.
2) His other kids are adopted
My guess is that the baby looks like neither one of them.

'Cause there never was a baby. Tom Cruise (I'm not just using slander here) is probably gay. It seems really likely, and he really wants to keep it a secret. Making babies seems like a good way to make people think you're straight. And acting like you REALLY REALLY love this girl you just met.

I think the baby was deformed. He will make sure Suri has surgery before introducing her to the world or he'll swap her out for another child.
Or...
The baby died, possibly even before being born, no telling when. He continues the facade, waiting til he finds the right one to buy, er... adopt.

Katie Holmes isn't hostage! She's a paid actress, that's unlike she's great warm or something. the youngster is below basic finding, they have been merely waiting for it to look a minimum of basic... they could desire to have waited longer!

Because he is crazy... I think he is putting in danger his daughter. One day paparrazzi will be so eager of having a photo of the baby that an accident may occur (remember princess Diana's accident).... i hate him.-
