I have a 2001 Accord V6. I recall receiving something in the mail a few years ago, extending the warranty on my transmission.

You might check to see if Civics were also have transmission problems. Personally, I haven't had any problems. But, it is nice to know that Honda extended the warranty in an area where there have apparently been some complaints. Again, you should check to see if your car is similar to mine re: this.

take it to a transmission expert or step on the gas and if it slips you need a flush. also if the gears lock, that could also be a sign.
they have this formula thing if forgot what its called but it lubricates the transmission and makes is run better. they also have one for fuel and engine. its about $30 and your money is guaranteed if it don't help.

Best way is to call a Honda Dealer and have him look up your car by the VIN, number near the windshield.

take it to a transmission shop and have them run a diagnostic check on the computer, but call the mechanic first and make sure they have the computer, the computer will give the machanic certain codes that will tell them were the problem is coming from....
