Eli Manning's Giants play against the Colts in week one, and Delhomme's Panthers take on the Falcons. As far at matchups go, Delhomme might have an advantage because of Atlanta's past problems against the run. If Carolina can establish their running game, the Falcons will have a devil of a time covering Steve Smith and Keyshawn Johnson. Plus, I like Delhomme's decision-making and defensive support better than Manning's.

I would suggest that you look at the defenses they're playing against. In week 1 Carolina is at home against Atlanta. Atlanta's Secondary should be better than the past few seasons, however I wouldn't expect the defense to put much pressure on Delhomme. Atlanta ranked in the bottom half of almost every defensive category last year. The Giants are also at home, but they play the Colts. The Colts's secondary is solid and improving. The Colts primarily play 7 back off the line to make plays on the ball. I would start Delhomme in week 1 and go from there. Hope this helps.

This is kind of a pick your poison kinda deal. Both the Colts (Manning's opponent) and the Falcons (Delhomme's opponent) were back to back in fantasy points given up to a QB. Another thing to consider is that the Colts didn't really do anything to improve their defense and Atlanta added a premier pass rusher and another solid DB in the offseason. I think I'd go with Manning since that game has a better chance of being a shootout.

If it were a real game i would pick jake, but fantacy football is about the numbers. i would take jake in fantacy also because he is going to have a massive year. eli is a manning so he's going to throw lots of picks(remember peyton's first 3-4 yrs.)
also he will NEVER win the big game, he's from a family of losers. His father may have never had a winning season and his brother chokes worst than the knicks in the 90's.

Delhomme is more consistent, but Eli willl put up bigger numbers this year. Go to any fantasy draft board and you will see that Eli is ranked higher and has a bigger upside this season.

Eli Manning. He has two proven consistent receivers in Plaxico Burress and Amani Toomer. He'll have a monster season this year.

Start both of them different weeks. Look for the matchups and whichever is up against a weaker defence go by that.
