Are you certain. I've had girlfriends who have tried to get pregnant ... with out my knowledge.

Make sure she doesn't want to make a baby anymore than you do.

Always use a condom. This cannot be emphasized enough. The chances may be 1 in a 100, but if you are the 1 out of the 100, it will be all that matters.

I have been on the shot for 8 years & for the last 4 i have not used a condom at all. SO for birth control purposes no you do not really need one. HOWEVER & I AM SERIOUS.....it is way too much to type on here, but I would be more than happy to email you a SERIOUS health issue that I have just been diagnosed with b/c of the shot. email me at yunmymyx903@netscape.net.

There are two reasons for condom use: contraception and protection from STDs. There may be a low risk for pregnancy with the shot, but when you have sex with someone, you are also having sex with every partner they have ever had (and vice versa). To omit the condom "every once in a while" is to play roulette. You should do it only if you are certain that you both are disease free and in a totally monogamous relationship...and judging from what I read on this site, that's rare!

If you guys are having issues about this, maybe you should reevaluate. No birth control method is 100% effective. There is always a chance that your girlfriend could still get pregnant no matter what you do. Perhaps you should stop having sex all together if you are not ready to have a baby with her.

It does not take a month to take influence, yet condoms are a solid concept because of the fact no longer something is a hundred% like a pp mentioned. besides you're saying its the two your first circumstances how might she recognize if it felt the comparable or no longer? in case you truly need to apply them then do it. it is your determination.

If you are not prepared to have a family use the condom in addition. The condom also helps to protect against STDs, especially if you are not exclusive to each other or if you are not sure. Please do not have a unwanted child! I was born unplanned and unwanted, but later adopted. Don't use excuses not to use the condom. Have her help you with it and have fun with it. I am not suggesting you have intercourse especially if you are under age 18 ( legal concerns)!

Wait and find out if she still has her periods. If she does, then be safe and use them when she would be ovulating had there been no shot. Are you sure she is on the shot? I have known a few girls and women who lie about it just to concieve. Unless you were there with her, or see pamphlets and stuff on it laying around, wear one anyways. Girls are psycho.

Until you get married you should give your girlfriend the peace of mind of a condom... The shot doesn't protect against STD's

NO...the shot has a proven track record of success in avoiding pregnancies but not against STD's or AIDS. Wrap it up for safety. Even condomns don't have a 100 percent safety record against pregnancy but a whole lot better of not getting one of the above... Stay Strapped
