I have heard that people are steering away from wearing all black when they attend a funeral. Personally, I don't see why we should wear all black, as long as we look presentable. What do you think?

Yes, I still wear black as a sign of mourning. I think greys and navy blues are also okay, but black best signifies sorrow for the loss of that person. Bright colors are definitely still tacky!

I think people should wear what they feel....Yes,black is an appropriate funeral color but I dont think it should be worn if it isnt felt or wanted...Im not saying you should go to a funeral wearing bright red but I think that all black IS steering away.In China, people wear white to funerals...white is also a serious color.Anyway, like I said you should wear what you feel and not because you have to..

I wear black out of grief and repect.
I don't see anything wrong with anyone wearing other then black.
For a child's funeral it actually more appropriate to wear color and not black. (Sadly I learned that the hardest way)

I wear dark colors to respect those who are traditional and want the black funeral, but I don't wear total black. I sometimes have color too.

i haven't been to a funeral in a long time (which is good lol) so i don't really know about that, but i think that it's a very old tradition and it depends on what people believe and stuff like that.

i think that people are straying away from black because it brings a sadder tone to a funeral. nowadays people wear brighter colors symbolizing that they are uplifted (in a sense) that the deceased person is in a better place and is free from pain.

I try to stick with darker, solid colors. Not brights or stripes or anything like that.
