Tell your doctor. Any discharge from your belly button is not normal.

Just maybe, you need to clean it out with soap and water, or peroxide, and a Q-Tip. Yes, it will tickle, because the navel is a very sensitive nerve center in the abdomen. But if you have an "Innie", rather than an "Outie", then some dirt, oil and maybe fungus can accumulate, just like athlete's foot can build up between your toes.

Any dark, moist and covered spot on the body is a ripe place for odor and bacteria, or even fungus. Armpits, feet, crotch, and even the navel, which we don't pay much attention to when we bathe and shower.

After cleaning, maybe put a couple of drops of rubbing alcohol in the belly button and swab around in there. You'll get used to the sensitive, tickly feeling. If the Q-tip comes out dirty, then the navel needed cleaning.

Clean it well; use peroxide, and then an antibiotic ointment 2x/day. If no change in 3-4 days, tell your Dr. Ur belly button should not have a discharge nor smell of any kind.
And no; piercing will not cure it, maybeeven make it wurs.

Wormy basically means you need a good cleaning out like a colonic or just a regular colin cleanse from your local Herb store. But I have a smelly button sometime too just becasue it is sweaty I was it when I take a bath it is sore some time but it is worth it ...if it is a continuous fowl oder ease your mind talk to Dr

You should most definitely talk to a doctor. Your not supposed to have discharge coming out of your belly button. At first I thought you had a belly ring and it got infected but otherwise I dont think its normal.

I don't know about the discharge but to keep it smelling fresh just be sure to wash it when you bath/shower and after that use a q-tip to apply a little perfume or perfumed lotion inside and it will be fine.

Belly button
Odor - A sharp, cheesy smell.
Cures::
Wash gently in and around your navel with antibacterial soap to remove sweat, oils, and bacteria that can get trapped there.
Dry it with a towel -- if you don't, moisture can spur yeast (a fungus) to grow, causing itchiness and odor.
Sprinkle on Zeasorb, a moisture-absorbing powder. Don't rub it in with your fingers because you could transfer the bacteria that's on them; lie flat and sprinkle it in. Avoid powders with cornstarch -- bacteria and fungus feed on it.

yes it is normal

of course you should clean it! clean it as often as you clean out your ears ( with rubbing alcohol or peroxide ) and if it still doesn't go away do tell your doctor right away, they at least would know what to do!
