make a sandwich that your kids like and use a cookie cutter to make shapes out of the sandwiches... you could make stars, circles, flowers, etc. PB and J works good!
Try lunchables. those are always fun. you just have to watch the fat and sodium content in those and get the healthier ones.
along with the sandwich you can get multicolored goldfish. those are so cute and really yummy.
My child takes a thermous to school once or twice a week with her favorite soup and it stays hot. It is a red and while thermous specifically designed to keep food hot at least 5-6 hours. She has taken chili, chicken noodle, beef stew, veggie alphabet soup to name a few.
ants on a log are good too. it is cut up celary with peanut butter in the middle and raisins on top... hints 'ants on a log' lol they are so cute.

Peanut butter and banana was alway my favorite. I also like celery with peanut butter and chocolate chips on top. Hummus with pita bread is a good alternative to potato chips. Apple slices and caramel dip are good snacks too. My mom also used to use left over turkey or roast beef from the previous night's dinner to make me sandwiches the next day. Those were the best lunches.

Leftover cold pizza, cold fried chicken legs, grapes, and ANYTHING candy-like ... Smarties, gummy worms, chocolate, etc.
As long as your kids eat healthy at breakfast and dinner, it won't kill them to have some junk at lunch. Just try to get them to stay away from salt ... it's SO unhealthy, and so easy to go over the daily limit.
And, if it fits in your budget, give them some pocket change for a soda or ice cream or something like that from time to time.
DO NOT feed them the same thing day after day ... my 16-year-old used to love balogna and won't touch it now! He buys lunch every day now that he's in high school and has so many choices (and very few are healthy ... sigh!).

I think the best thing would be some fruits and a bottle of freshly squeezed juice. A muesli bar once a week may be a good change.

other than some good sandwiches. See if they like chili or soup or even macs & cheese in a thermos. I used to bring that.

Brownies, Oreos, fudge, toll house cookies, lollipops, and carrot cake are always fun to get at lunch instead of the normal apple, pear, peach, nectarine, or orange.
Chow!!
