companys that for whatever reason cant cash there own checks and would like me to do it and keep 10 per cent then send the balance by western union to where ever the tell me

Delete that email as Spam.

You described a popular scam. Never accept checks from someone you contact over the Internet. Never send checks to someone you contact over the Internet.
Scammers from Nigeria have managed to forge even United States Postal Money Orders so that they look real to the recipients.
There is no reason a company cannot cash its own checks or deposit checks it received from someone else.

today there are so many scams doing the rounds that one can never be careful enough!

Some widely used resources for checking scam companies are the Better Business Bureau (www.bbb.org) and the national fraud center (www.fraud.org).

They want you to cash a forged or fake check. Then you send them the money and the bank goes after you and you are held responsible.

Don't do it.

look up on the yahoo search engine "Nigerian scams" or "Nigerian 419 scams". It's illegal, you'll lose your money, and maybe you'll get jail time if you do what they ask...so just say "NO".
