I had a really bad stomach flu when I was about 30 wks pregnant and the doctor said there was nothing I could do but drink tons of water especially with electrolytes or gatorade because it really dehydrates you. You will just have to let it pass and get plenty of rest. If your fever gets higher than 101 call the doctor again. They don't want you showing up labor and delivery when you are sick unless absolutely necessary because they don't want you getting any of the other moms sick. Hopefully your stomach bug will pass within 24 hrs.

When pregnant women get sick its normal to worry that the baby may not be getting the nourishment that it should be. I was once told by a Dr one even tho it seems like that we are throwing up

every bit of food we ate that is not the case the body will always look after it self and the same goes for the baby. If the stomach bug keeps up I would go and see a GP and he may be able to

give you something that will settle down the bug but also safe for the baby. in the mean time keep up Electrolytes you can get these in sport drink, or you can get a powder form from the Chemist you can even get an ice block to suck on that has Electrolytes in. Good luck.

LOTS of water, crackers, soup. If it comes up, it comes up -- you'll get a little nutrition from anything you get into your stomach even if you puke it out later. The baby will be totally fine, just try to get some food in there. If you still can't, there is a children's anti-nausea medicine (disgusting cherry flavor) that works and is approved for pregnant women. Take some and if you feel like you can eat - do it! You'll be all right. Call your gyno if it lasts more than a couple of days.

If you cannot drink solid foods, simply drink lots of liquids so like that you do not get dehydrated... You do not have to worry about the baby not having solid food, it has enough from your body to be able to be okay. . . . try to eat crackers if possible and little by little start introducing more and more food until you finally get better... just make sure that you do not get a fever or anything like that and if you do, seek medical attention or of course, if you have any abnormal stomach pain...

Just concentrate on the liquids for now. Take very small amounts at a time. Once you are able to keep them down, gradually add small amounts on to the liquids you are taking. Once you are able to keep liquids down for a whole day you can start adding solids back in. start with some plain white rice. If you keep that down wait awhile and have a little applesauce. Gradually go back to normal, just make sure your foods are bland that first day or so.

I am 40 weeks and toast and scrambled eggs work really good. Milk also helps coat your stomach if you can take it. I have had bad morning sickness since 6 weeks, so I know how you feel. Good luck!
