Don't accept any advice from anyone here, even if they say they are a doctor ( can't be proven ). Call your doctor's office or do some research on medical websites. But realistically, if you are supposed to take your medicine all the time why would you want to go off on the weekends? Your health is primary, without it you wouldn't even be able to enjoy the weekends. Think about it.

I am on blood pressure medications and I have found it not wise to go off my medication.
I wouldn't say it would cause irritability, but if you are irritable it would cause your blood pressure to go up and that as you should know is not good!
In my case if I skip my medication I find that I have a problem of seeing properly. In case you don't know it, if your blood pressure goes up to high it can cause a rupture of blood vessels in the eye. I know because it happen to my mother.
So the best advise is not to skip your medication for your own safety!
