Go to www.donotcall.gov to add your # to the National Do Not Call Registry and to file a complaint. I work for T-Mobile and I spoke with a customer today that was getting the same call. We don't have the capability to block calls from a specific #, so the next best thing is adding your # to the do not call list, or changing your phone #.
The National Do Not Call Registry gives you a choice about whether to receive telemarketing calls at home. Most telemarketers should not call your number once it has been on the registry for 31 days. If they do, you can file a complaint at this Website. You can register your home or mobile phone for free. Your registration will be effective for five years.

Yes, I've received it a few times and been hung up on a few times, called them back etc. Since I'm on Virgin Mobile it costs me when people call, not just minutes... and like everyone else here I find it annoying when I receive recorded messages.
I don't use my cell phone a lot, and I don't give the number out lightly. I work in classrooms and I don't like calls during work, and don't understand why anyone would make recorded calls in the first place.
We should have the right to report recorded calls to the do not call line, even if we aren't registered.

I just recieved a call from that number less than 5 minutes ago on my Cingular phone. I will be filing a complaint with them... and the FCC, if Cingular refuses to block these calls. In the past month, this is the 3rd call I've recieved. I urge everyone recieving a call from this number to do the same. The call is always in Mexican.. (not pure spanish). Someone needs to be put in jail or shut down and severely fined. And just a moment ago, I contacted Cingular... they refuse to help... telling me to contact the national Do Not Call Registry... Since when are our cellphone numbers available to the public? I'll be filing a complaint with the California State Public Utilities Commission and the FCC, and I would urge all of you to do the same!

Yes I just got one. One reason I got rid of my house phone was because of all of the telemarketing calls. I've been on the DNC list since the day it was put into place, now I'm getting these on my cell phone? Next will be spam text messages and since I'm with Verizon I'll get charged 10 cents for EVERY one of them.... when will they learn? WE DON'T WANT THEIR PRODUCTS IF THEY'RE GOING TO TRY TO SHOVE THEM DOWN OUR THROATS!! I guess it's not going to stop until it stops being profitable for them... I have yet to find ANYONE that has ever ordered anything from a telemarketer, so I wonder where they're getting their money?

I've been getting them for several months. As someone else mentioned, it is Spanish and they do say to "press 1." The first part seems to be saying that I have won a free camera and to get it I need to press 1.
I would suggest not doing this. You may end up getting transfered to some foreign number that costs like $20 a call. And if your provider is as understanding as Cingular, YOU'RE SCREWED!

I just got one. I have 2 cell phones on one Sprint account and my other phone (which I've had about a year) gets these regularly - we just hang up or don't answer.
I just got one on the phone I've had for 6 years now. Just hang up.
To the person who said about getting spam text messages - I'm already getting them. $0.10 per, on my secondary cell phone (the one that I've had for a year). I don't want to pay $5/month for unlimited text messaging because I don't use it for text messages - so I have to eat the 20-cents from last month for unwanted text messages. It's bullcrap. The only way Sprint can block it is if I totally disable text messaging on that phone - and I don't really want to do that but if I keep getting those I guess I'll have to.
Sucks.

Well look at this. I did the same- Googled, and found this page. What I heard about a few months ago is that The FCC is going to allow telemarketers to have cel numbers. I thought of this as idiotic, because the FCC knows that we are using our minutes(money). Well, so much for that. I guess that it only stops them from using automated dialers. But how they get the number is what I want to know. Random acts of dialing?

Yes! Thank God I found this posting! I received one this afternoon at 12:53 pm. It was in Spanish and I heard the words, "press one". I thought it was in Italian--and I actually pressed the #1. Hi said "thank you" in spanish and then hung up on me. When I tried to call back immediately it was a strange rapid busy signal. I'm worried about what I may have authorized by pressing #1!
