i am thinking about recording the godfather 2 tonight like robert de niro but i havent seen any of the godfather movies because i was thinking that the trilogy might be a slow film to watch i also like robert de niro but the godfather movies im not to sure about watching

I would vote for Cape Fear, or possibly the Untouchables.

most violent he's done would probably either be Goodfellas or Casino, off the top of my head. You absolutely have to see the Godfather movies. record part II but don't watch it until you've seen part I first. If you have time, take a half of a day and watch them back to back. Best movies I personally have ever seen. Part III is not nearly as good as the first !!, but you should still see it just to complete the trilogy

It's an excellent movie and worth the watch.
Raging Bull and Deer Hunter are my favs, but I like that he plays the young version in the Godfather 2, the young Sicilian man and explores the roots of the history.

The Godfather movies (particularly 1 and 2) are complete classics. Masterpieces even. IMO they are definitely worth watching.

g2 has the scene where the young vito "makes his bones" by taking out one of the early crime bosses, shoots him 3 times(chest, cheek, and mouth). g2 is more cerebral and philosophical than the original, "what does it profit a man to gain the world, yet lose his soul" pretty much sums it up. michael wipes out all his enemies and saves the family...but in so doing it, he loses the family..it's really deep and by far the best sequel ever! as for his most violent film, maybe angel heart, maybe goodfellas, maybe cape fear, maybe heat(awesome shoot-out!), raging bull was more graphic, but pretty violent too!
