this is a trojan but it really ought to be taken care of by your anti-virus. You do have anti-virus? If so is it update and have you ran it to try and remove it. If you have does it recognise the trojan and say it can't remove or does it not find it at all?

is it "stchost.exe" or "svchost.exe"
if it's the former then you may have a virus. if it's the latter, then don't panic because Windows XP uses svchost.exe to run some service programs.
