I think the Yankees are playing well enough now to win the WS. Of course there is a long road to getting to the WS. Detroit, Oakland, possibly Minnesota have something to say about who wins the AL. The Yankees have an awesome offensive attack and will put big numbers up on anybody. Can the Yankees starting pitching hold up throughout the playoffs? I think that may be the key question as to whether the Yankees get to the WS. If they get there it could be against the Mets. I would give the Mets a slight edge in that matchup but have a lot of respect for the bats of the Yankees.

Minnesota Twins. the only question mark on the team is the 4 and 5 pitcher slots. the extra youthful gamers are entering their own and are actually dominate gamers (Mauer, Morneau, Cuddyer, Bartlett, etc) and with the countless older veterans to offer management and a few stability to the clubhouse, they have as sturdy a gamble as every physique. Oh, yeah, do no longer forget approximately approximately Santana, and between the suitable bullpens in all of baseball is back.

The Yankees have a chance, especially how they are going into September. But, its been a roller-coaster ride this season. In order to win, they have to get their lineup hitting, get A-Rod hitting again, and make sure that the piitchign rotation and the bullpen don't collaspe on itself, its happen before.

You'd have to call them the favourites to win it. They've got the best lineup in baseball, by far, they have Rivera, and the starting pitching is decent enough. They're no shoe in though, they're still a beatable team.

dont have the starting pitching that the twins, white sox or tigers have and they're probably going to have to face the twins or white sox first and then Tigers (most likely)
