Maybe the "You're so funny" was said because it caught the person off guard and they didn't know what to say. They might not have meant to be hurtful.

Why would you ask that if you already know the answer? You said "it made one cry once." No you should not laugh when another person confides their feelings for you to you. That is cruel and mean and just RUDE. How would you feel if it happen to you? If a guy that was your friend ment more to you then just a friend and you told him and he laughed in your face and told you that "Your funny!" ? You would feel horrid about the whole thing. I think it is sad of the person who does that to another person. Yes, it is wrong to do that......... blessed be.

Laughing casually and brushing their remark off could be an effective way for you to get yourself out of the situation, without having to acknowledge the subject. But this might seriously hurt your friends, so you should just gently explain it to them that you cannot get past the friendship status. As typical as it might sound to them, the 'I don't see you in that way' speech always works.

Yes it is wrong to laugh in there face when anyone says something like that becouse they are pouring there heart out
and by you laughing in there face you might as well off reached in graped there heart thrw it on the ground and then sttep on it

Don't laugh you never know when you are in that situation. Just tell them you don't love them like that and stay friends.If you continue to laugh you will laugh your way out of a friendship.

yes and no because if they are serious it can come as a shock or really mess something up...no becuase there might be something you know that they dont or they just need to know how funny it sounds coming from them

yeah... you shouldn't really laugh in their face because it must of been really hard for them to even actually tell you, and it's like your rubbing it in their face... next time they tell you they love you, just think of yourself in their shoes and react back in the way you'd like to be yourself =D goodluck
