It varies for women. It could be possible.....it depends on the factors at play. Are you under stress? Have you had a major change in your life? Have you gained or lost an unusual amount of weight? I think it is somewhat rare that women are regular. This has happened to me before, and I did start a few days later than my normal time. If you are truly concerned, it might be a good idea to go to your gyno or doctor.
It should be a full cycle the next time you start. Your body has to go through the ovulation process and buildup/breakdown of the lining....it may not be as your normal cycle is if you do start at your normal time. And I've noticed that there are times, every few years where my cycle will change. So if you started 15 days, your next few cycles could change to 28-30 days after this one. This could be your new cycle. It's really hard to tell unless there is a health/stress factor involved.

It depends how long you've been mensturating, if you're young or approaching menopause anything can happen. I'd sometimes go three months without, and then every three weeks until I was about 16, really annoying.
Your period often shifts depending on who you're haninging out with, its true that women sync up for some reason, and when I started living with my boyfriend it was early and wonky for about three months(adjusting to HIS cycle?). It'll sometimes take a couple of cycles to regulate, but you should be back to normal in a month or two.
Pay attention to what phase the moon is in. IE: Mine used to come at full moon but now it's more at waning gibbous. (TMI, right?)
A nuiscance, but nothing to worry about.

Hi
If you've only started your periods recently then it's not unusual for them to be irregular and for it to take a while for them to settle into a routine.
Althought the average cycle is 28 days it's perfectly normal to have regular cycles which are both longer and shorter than that.
To be honest it's hard to predict when your next period will be - hopefully this cycle will be longer than the last for you.

Irregular periods are very normal especially if you just got your period within the last year or two. It shouldn't be a concern unless you miss your period for more than 3 months and then you should see your doctor.

Count from the first day of your last period. Sometimes mine comes early and then my whole schedule shifts after that. It shouldn't affect how long the cycle lasts, mine is different sometimes it will be 5 days or longer sometimes less.

I do this too ever so often when I am under a lot of pressure or extremely stressed. I usually start back up again around my normal times. hate when that happens though...

if you're normally regular, it should go right back to the way it has always been. traveling, stress, eating differently, and many other things can all throw off your cycle, but it should regulate and be back to normal soon. if it does this fairly often ( whether to soon or to late ) i would get on birth control to regulate it.
