I would go with the first one. Every baby grows at it's own rate. It may slow down and then speed back up again to even out. If you're doctor isn't worried, you shouldn't be either.
My daughter was 6 wks early, and she weighed in at 6 pds 9 oz! That's pretty big for such a preemie. (I was an 8 pd baby, and my husband was at least 9pds. so it's normal for her to be a big girl.)

Sometimes the baby grows more and is bigger. They say that the best calculations are done in the beginning where all the embryos follow the same pattern more or less.
So the 8 week Usound would be more accurate than the later ones.

Doctors will always go by the last sonogram that you have in order to determine your due. They go by how big your baby is and the measurements. . . I went through the same thing and I always kept track of my menstrual cycle but because my baby's measurements was that of an more developed baby, then the due date was estimated closer.... So do not worry and just know that around the date that you have scheduled you could go either two weeks after or before... good luck...

I have always heard to go by the first ultrasound, due to size variation of all fetuses. If you know your last date period then that should put you where you really are

No, you are supposed to go by the first one because it's more accurate. My doctor told me he never changes the due date because as you get farther along all babies are different. As long as your first sonogram and LMP match up you are only supposed to go by that.

could have been? just go by what the dates are now. what happened in the past wont matter, just find out what the dates are right now. Congrats and good luck! :) It's an exciting time!
