Girls girl means you are very girly and do a lot of girly things, like wearing dresses and other stuff girls do. Being a man man means a guy does a lot of activities typical of men, such as sports.

A man's man is not necessarily a macho guy, but a guy who only enjoys doing typically male stuff, watching the game, drinking beer, hanging out with the guys etc and understands or cares very little about what the opposite sex is into, not that he hates women, on the contrary, he loves them, even if it IS in an objectifying sort of way. They don't compromise often either. Guys like this vary from the straight up chauvinist to the not so bright dude, some are good some are bad. "Doug" played by Kevin James in "king of queens" is a typical example of a man's man. Always a supporter of the male cause.
A girl's girl, I assume from it's very limited usage, is on the one extreme, a feminist, and on the other extreme just a woman who looks out for other women and prefers their company (this is very rare) to male company, perhaps a good example is the comedy "Girlfriends".
That's my 2 cents.

a girls girl is like a girly girl- very feminine ( the opposite of a tom-boy)
and a mans man (my fav) is a guy that is burly and manly. Not feminie acting at all. Enjoys doing manly things etc.

A man's man is the type of man that another man can admire-- you know, strong, brave, adventurous, but not neccessarily attractive to the opposite sex. A girl's girl I suppose would be the opposite-- the sort of girl a girl would admire.

A man's man likes blowing Bambi's brains out for the sport of it. A girl's girl is a lesbian. Hope that clears that up.

I've heard about the girly girl. I'm not sure about it, but on the context that I read it, it was on a mountain bike forum. And I think that it meant that being a feminine girl.

They're typically asking how well you get along with your own gender. The terms refer to someone that others of their own gender enjoy hanging around, like a leader.
