i think medical marijuana should be legal, but then i also think marijuana should be legal, if you are over 18, just like alcohol. i think it needs to be taxed and controlled as a recreational product.

I think medical marijuana is a joke. I know people in Cali. They'll get doctor friends to write a prescription. Even if they just have a cold or something. All kinds of hook-ups. There are much better drugs that can be used.
Why hide behind false motives. If you want marijuana to be legal than just SAY SO.
I say: make all drugs legal. Regulate them. Put laws on them.
Why wouldn't the govt. want to do this? Well, they'd have to invest a lot more money in peoples welfare (free clinics, etc.) if they did. They'd miss all the money they get illegally since it's not legal. Kickbacks/payoffs/stolen drugs/etc.
Am I a drug user? no. I haven't touched a drug (other than alcohol) in nearly two years. In the last two years I may have had 6-10 beers.
I used to be a big pothead though. I'll tell you. If I could go to the store and buy a joint or whatever it would be a lot better. I'd know what I was getting. There's be no risk of it having roach spray, embalming fluid, coke, crack, pcp, dry cleaning fluid, or whatever else ******** people put on it. I took a drug test once and they found PCP in my urine. I wasn't all that surprised, yet the people who gave me the laced weed acted like they were. Fools. Why are you going to lace GOOD weed? If it's fluffy, why turn it into stress? Even more so, the fact that it's illegal makes drugs even more addicting. Because you never have a steady supply. If I want a beer, between the hours of 6am - 12am I can go buy a beer at the store. At the bar I can get served until 2am. That's in VA, where the laws are pretty damn strict. We don't even have liquor stores, we've got ABC's. When I lived in New Mexico, they had bottles of rum and vodka set up as impulse items next to the register. The grocery store literally had gallons and gallons of liquor.
Anyway, with drugs you've always got to know who's selling it. You never know the quality of what your getting. It's way overpriced. I mean, if they made marijuana legal I'd be putting all kinds of money into the weed stock. I want as many shares of that as I can get. Put it on the stock market, we'd be getting paid.
I don't drink that much. Simply because, if I want a drink, I can go get a drink. It's not thrilling. However, when I want one I have one. If marijuana were legal, if I wanted some I could go get some. It'd always be there. Now, certainly when I was a heavy smoker it was always there. That was a different story though. Often times I'd smoke the rest of my bag when I was low because: I don't know where the next sack is coming from. So I might as well make sure I'm high as hell now.

Marijuana should be legal period! For everone and anyone who is of age. Why should I have to be suffering and/or dying in order to enjoy pot without having to worry about the law. They can keep it illegal for all I care, I always have access. These dumb people in Washington have no idea how much tax revenue they could get from legalization of this drug. Its all political and they have been demonizing pot sice the 50s, fools!

Yes, the Federal Government wants to be the only government. No respecter of states rights, let alone peoples rights to die in peace. Oh, well, pray you live in a state that stands against capitulation.

So many people get high off of prescription drugs, why should Marijuana be any different? I agree. Could you imagine if morphine were illegal because smoking opium gets you high?

It is a dam plant put on this earth by god, and should not be unlawful to smoke, or make brownies with.;)
And also if it relieves some ones pain then I ask you where is the harm.

Nope. Don't legalize it...You can't solve one problem by introducing another. It doesn't work that way.
