its up to you who you like or dont like, perhaps some people like to play the race card coz they can. however as long as your motives for disliking someone are irrelevant of race, creed, culture, religion etc then its not discrimination its just a clash in personality or not someone you get on with. we all have flaws.. some people can tolerate them others cant. eg it would be wrong to say you hate all muslims or all irish or all english, as not all irish are thick, not all muslims are terrorists and not all english are rowdy hooligans who get drunk and start fights. if you sincerely say its the individual and you are not generalising by branding a group in particular then i cant see why it would be classed as a prejudiced or racist notion.

The bottom-line and the ideal way is not to hate anyone, for any reason. But, the reality is that there are actions we cannot stand in other people, and those actions help to identify who we are; not who they are.
Looking closer at what you said; you spelled out people who are ignorant, lazy, ill-mannered. If a person is ignorant about a certain topic or has a disability for me that is one thing, but if a person just has a bad attitude and doesn't try that is really annoying.
Some people have never been taught a work ethnic and are a little slow at maturing but there are others who understand hard work but think it is below them. Those people irritate me to no end.
Il- mannered people to me are people who have no respect for themselves or those around them; these people get on my last nerve. All this is true whether they have skin that is black, white, red, yellow, or whatever.
A racist to me is someone who thinks and truly believes that any race is defective or has flaws.
For example, if you think all white people are educated, all Asians are well mannered, all blacks are lazy, all Indians are disrespectful and all Mexicans are not family oriented then that would be a racist.
Every race has those who are lazy, and all the other faults. All races have those who work hard, try to better themselves, and who try to do the right thing.
Sterotyping is never good, if you are having troubles with someone it is not because they are a person of color it is because they are a human being. And let's face it human beings are very complex. Who they are is a result of their lifetime of experiences; both good and bad.
It is good that you are trying to think this through; whatever answer you end up with just be sure that you are true to yourself. We all have our baggage and you are not without yours.

why would you want to hate someone who was less fortunate than yourself?
not everyone of race are a$$holes, ignorant, lazy or ill minded and even if they were, there is probably a good reason for it.
i am a white woman, 39 years old. i grew up being called lazy, dumb ect, by my own father. however, that does not make me less a person. at 34 i found out why i could not hold a job or even get out of bed most days.....the disease? Hepatitis C. Tracked back to 1976. I was 8 years old when my first symptom appeared....do I wish to be felt sorry for? HELL NO. However, I do want people to be proud of me for what I have accomplished even though it may not be what another person has acheived in their 39 years of life.
Some have it, some don't....and it's not up to you, nor is it okay to think your better than the "a$$hole, the ignorant, the lazy or the ill minded.
Get some zoloft and some therapy...you might find your really no different than any other.....
good luck.

Nobody shouldn't dislike someone because of their race, but if it's something wrong with their character like how they treat people or if they are just plain rude then that's different because they are giving you a reason not to like them. And hate is such a strong word.

You can dislike someone for the qualities you mentioned. It is when you begin to generalize and say an entire ethnic group is a certain way that you become racist.

If you assume someone is lazy etc etc because they are black then its RACIST! If you hate all LAZY people then your and lazy person hating fool.
do you think black people are one way simply because of the colour of their skin. Like if I grew up just like Paris Hilton, I'd still be in the Ghetto having six babies and on welfare because my skin colour makes me have no choice?

Does people need to know you hate a$$holes? probably not.
I do hate people like that, and I bet many people hate them too, and it has nothing to do with race. However, this is something that should only concern to you and the the individuals that hate this type of behavior. If you make it public, you will end up being called a "racist"

I DONT THINK YOU DISLIKE A S S HOLES.
YOU DISLIKE BLACKS BECAUSE ALL OF YOUR QUESTIONS HAVE BEEN ABOUT THEM.
ITS FUNNY THAT YOU HATE THEM SO MUCH YET YOU ARE TOTALLY FIXATED ON THEM.
YOU ARE A RACIST IN AND OUT.
AND THATS A SHAME.
WHY ASK THESE QUESTIONS IF YOUVE ALREADY MADE UP YOUR MIND ABOUT THEM?
YOU'RE PATHETIC.
YOU HAVE NOTHING BETTER TO DO THAN ASK SIDEWAYS,RACIST QUESTIONS.
LOSER.

No one said you have to like everybody and you are entitled to your opinion about people whatever their race, but you are the one who introduced the idea of race into your question.

If you are arrogant in any way,I don't care what race you are,you are not one of the people who are welcome in my home. You have all the right to say some people are 'stupid' in any way,but please do not make it a racial thing. Also, hate them to your own dismay. Please don't damper other peoples day because you are not fond of this person.I feel the same way you do,but please don't make a big deal out of it.Be kind, and polite, and once again; hate to your own dismay!
