My engine light keeps coming on. I changed the oxygen sensor, o2 sensor and Egr valve, but the light still comes on. When the car's turned off and then you start it up, it bucks and sputters, then it clears and runs okay? Any idea as to what the prob is?

I'M GOING TO TELL YOU SOMETHING THAT YOU PROBABLY WON'T WANT TO HEAR BUT IN CASES LIKE YOURS YOU CAN CHASE PARTS DOWN TILL YOUR BLUE IN THE FACE AND NOT A PENNY IN YOUR POCKET BOOK AND STILL NOT HAVE THE PROBLEM FIXED SO THE BEST THING YOU CAN DO BEFORE YOU SOKE TO MUCH MONEY INTO IT IS TO TAKE IT TO THE DEALER AND LET THEM DIAGNOSE IT WITH THERE COMPUTER AND TELL YOU EXACTLY WHAT IT IS AND FIX IT OR LET YOU FIX IT BUT IN THE LONG RUN IT WILL SAVE YOU MONEY.

It sounds like you got some watered down gasoline. Try some of that stuff you add to the tank. Or you could take it to the shop and have them run the computer check and it will tell you exactly what's wrong. My engine light keeps coming on, but there is nothing wrong with the car!

Depends on the year, make and model vehicle..If its mass air flow sensor equipped, could be an intermittent sensor...Have the codes read at any shop or autozone, that will get you in the right direction...

codes? without hooking a scanner to it and finding what the code is than how do u know where to look?
take it to a good auto tech and have it diagnosed, it may not be a bad part but a broken wire.
shotgunning parts at it is a waste of money. spend the $ and have it checked.

p.s.- autozone just wants to sell parts, so if they scan it ur guarenteed to be buying parts u don't need!

Only thing I can tell you to do is have it put on a diagnostic machine. It should be able to pin point the problem. Some part stores will check the codes for free.

Sigh, you did not say what year it is. If it is newer then 1996, take it to autozone, and they should scan it for free. (Ask first). Record the numbers and google for that error code, or ask a question about what the codes mean.

easy check before going to the garage: open up the air filter and dig out the autumn leaves. If that doesn't help, get a pro.

yes, take the car to a qualified repair shop. don not take it to autozone. getting codes out of a car is one thing, understanding what set those codes is another
