file a police report..they need to find this "other vehicle" (if there was one) find witnesses..ect..

...if they dont find the other car he will be put as "at fault"

contact your insurance and tell them what has happened..they will pursue for you also.

Simple...Is there damage to the rear of the car that hit you ? If not, he has to pay for your car. Take pictures, your insurance company should take care of this ! It's always a good idea to carry one of those cheap single use cameras for situations like this.

Comming from someone who has had the same situation happen to before in the state of Louisiana, I had learned that Shet happens. Fighting the claim in court is a losing battle. No matter what the situation is, when you hit someone from behind, you are at fault, even if someone else hit you from behind.

The only way you can handle this problem is give all your known information to YOUR insurance company and let them fight your battle of who is going to be responsible. If you had full coverage on your vehicle, then they will fix it for you, if not...........sorry !!

Same goes in the state of Missouri and the state of Kansas

first was there a police rport written...then speak wit hyour insurance and they can handle all of the rest of the issues for you..

if that doesn't work .....you have to go to the big guns...look in the phone book for the biggest ad for an attorney that deals with accidents

He scammed you. I hope you got his liscense plate number. If he left you can still get him for leaving the scene. I hope it works out for you, but it sounds like you are the looser. If you ever see the sucker on the street give him your best punch and say sorry the person behind be bumped me.

Let your ins agent work on this. That's what they get paid for. They get this stuff all the time. Don't spend any money on an attorney yet.

Get a lawyer-- it is your only real choice at this point--otherwise it's he said/they said.

And a copy of the police report.
