Everywhere i get a glimpse of Jonbenet, she's all dressed and dolled up, winning all beauty pageants possible, sometimes in strapless gowns, swimsuits, etc. some very revealing pictures of hers. I mean, i feel sorry for her death, feel sorry for her parents as well, but at the back of my mind, whenevr i look at her picture, and i thought to myself, Gosh she's gorgoeus, prettier than any 6-year-old (or YOUNGER!!!) than i've seen, in that makeup, ball gowns & all that, but she (or her parents) r really 'inviting' something, if u know what i mean...

Im no big fan of Karr, i think he's creepy. But Jonbenet's parents have to take in some responsibilities as well. She was dressing up like a 18-year-old Miss Universe, i'm female/perfectly straight, still, i think she's hot for a 6-year-old

I wouldnt dress my daughters up like that, i cant bear any grownups (male) ogling at my babies
Just wanna know whats ur thoughts on this./..

It was a senseless, savage act.Only a true monster could harm an innocent child. In our modern society we have an obligation to rid ourselves of individuals who harm children, and as a society we have failed.JonBenet's parents obviously loved their little girl, and I can't imagine their feelings after the loss of their beautiful daughter. The media hasn't helped them one bit.
I do think that maybe her parents didn't realize that they were putting their child in danger by sticking her into all those beauty pageants, and they would have done something different had they known.

I don't understand the whole pageant thing with really young children...I just think that you are inviting trouble. A lot of people say that the children enjoy this type of competition; but I have seen a lot of discussions and television shows that enforce the fact that it is the parents that are making the choices for the child. Who is spending the tens of thousands of dollars on the makeup and wigs and even fake teeth....yuck. There are enough weird and sexually twisted people out there, finding pictures of children without having access to them being dressed up like adults. That is creepy. I do not think that someone who chooses to put their child into this type of competition should have to worry about pedophiles, neither should a person taking their child to a local park. I think if you make your child look "hot" and like an adult, you may well be inviting more trouble into your life than you are going to know what to do with. Karr was not her killer, although he has a lot of other charges against him; but he is definitely obsessed and in a very twisted way. I do not want to be ogled by anyone, would not want it for any other women or children either. All of the wonderful inventions of our modern age, such as the Internet, can be misused by those who are up to no good; so we have to be even more diligent than in the past.

Anyone involved in the beauty pageant scene is 'inviting' trouble, regardless of age. Any girl who dresses sexy is 'inviting' trouble. Yes, Jon Benet had entirely too much exposure in the media and beauty pageants to be as safe as a normal six-year-old, but there are other normal six-year-olds who also get abducted and murdered. If parents knew the risks of raising a child in today's society, they would not have them.

I do think they should take a much closer look at the people in the Boulder area who knew about Jon-Benet's pageant appearances. I'm inclined to think that the true murderer had to know (1) where Jon-Benet lived and (2) had attended pageants. I would be really interested to know if any plumbers or handy men the Ramsays used had also been to a pageant. Same thing with the school bus driver.

probably a lot of people won't like what i say but i think that her parents weren't really asking for trouble. all beauty queens start out real young . Jonbenet was a pretty young girl so she would attracted Karr's likes whether she was in pageants or not. how many times you hear about child molestation? how many times you hear it because of beauty pageants for kids. it was just an unfortunate event that would have happened whether she was in a pageant or not.
I mean comon guys these things (child molestation) happens in toys stores and supermarkets. as i said it's just an unfortunate event.

I agree with you. I think it was "wrong" of these pagents to expect the little girls to dress as though they are 18 or older. That does not give someone a free pass to rape and murder her though (as you said). I think they should (for respect to this little girl) show pictures of her dressed as her age and not pics from these beauty pageants. I would rather see her for what she was (6 yrs old) and not what her mother wanted her to be. I would never dress my child that way for any money in the world and that is a promise.

Their intentions were not harmful. They didnt think that that grown men would be eyeing their daughter when they decided to sign her up for these pagents. I believe JonBenet's mother was living vicariously through her daughter because she couldn't live the lavish lifestyle of a beauty queen. I agree that JonBenet's parents made their daughter vulnerable to child predators, but I also believe that it wasnt intentional.

I feel that they should not have pushed their daughter into the pageants. I think in my opinion that Karr might have gotten off but remember what happened. I think that the situation was kind of weird. But, he did have a mental obsession for a little girl.

I dont think they intentionally invited anyone to murder their child but when your daughter looks older than she really is, you are asking for trouble. I never really thought this to be true until my husband pointed out our daughter in a bikini. We were on a beach, my daughter was younger than ten and men were looking at her ! Also, allowing young girls to wear makeup too soon or having their hair colored before they are old enough encourages boys to believe they are "fast". Sad but true.

Dont be surprised if more & moe children (their obsessive-compulsive parents) wanna be just like her...Its sickening, how a 6-year-old looks like a 20-year-old...e

Even more sickening...how her parents 'defend' her image after her death~ wanting the whole world to know how 'beautiful' their daughter was

Her parents were so obsessed wth superficial beauty they it kinda slipped their midns that they made their daughter vulnerable to predators...
