I went to the cinema to see it and was thoroughly disappointed in it but a girl i worked with at the time had seen it as well and absolutely loved it,so when i saw it was coming on sky movies i decided to give it another chance and i actually liked it the second time round! so if i was you i would wait a while and then watch it again and see if your opinion changes, like mine.

I think the film was truly dire.
I have not seen Snakes on a Plane yet but it sounds like it could be along the same lines.
How can you sustain interest in a movie at least 90 minutes long with subject matter like those?

SPOILER WARNING - for movies Cabin Fever and Alien Ressurection. If you want to still see these movies (who knows why) then don't read what i have written.
How about Cabin Fever with its nonsense plot, gore that got me "bored" and stupid music soundtrack with some pointless characters, demented sex scene and characters you don't even care about...
also, dreamcatcher which i couldn't even get past an hour with and Alien Ressurection which just had guns, trying to invent new so called "cool" ways to stash them, hold them and shoot them. Crazy characters that put the mark of shame on the alien franchise and Ripley has sex with the alien and gives birth to a bone head creature that screams "mummy" before dying at the end. stupid casting of Winona Ryder who even admits that she didn't have a clue what she was doing on the movie...
Ridley should have teamed with the writers back in 1979 to prevent anyone from touching the franchise but them...
oh, and open waters? never watched it. don't intend to.

Yes Open Water is one of many worst movies, that one should not have been filmed. They never found the missing people and now they get rich off of them, that is way low and greedy.

Definetley among my 'bottom 10' - They've just released a 'sequel' - meaning a German director made a movie about the same topic - found out later(!!!) the plot had already been told and unceremoniously called it Open Water 2 .... arrrgh!

i asked the same questions when i watched it
any film can only be based on a true story and is allowed "poetic licence" basically can add bits to make it more interesting.
they only tried to work out what happened by the things that they found i suppose.
i thought it was quite good.
think again and put yourself in their position . if that was happening to you do you think it would be so crap then??

I know, it was terrible. It won awards too. Which is why I avoid critically aclaimed films like the plague. Sat through open water expecting it to get better. What a waste of time!!!

i haven't seen open water but i can tell it's a rubbish film even without you telling me the ending! how can you make a film about 2 people who get stuck out in open water?! surely that would only take about 15mins to half an hour to tell that story! come on! way to make a film that's been dragged out so that's it's too long!!! weirdo film makers.

Uh, you really ought to put spoiler alerts if you're going to reveal the end of movies.
And I envy you if the worst film you've ever seen is Open Water...there's MUCH worse out there for you to discover. (For the record, I thought it was pretty involving.)
