Here's one I can answer. It's a little bit hard to get started, your hands will hurt pretty bad initially. You need to keep at it, listen to as much different styles of music you can, and just keep praticing chords, and then scales soon after.

I got an acoustic guitar when I was in fifth grade, and my folks got me a Mel Bay instruction book. I worked like a dog for about a month and finally gave it up because I wasn't making much progress.

Then, when I was probably 15-16, I decided to try again. Big difference. I was making progress my leaps and bounds. I bought my first electric my senior year in HS. Several years later I was part of several really good bands that played out alot and got paid too.

I guess I just wasn't ready in the beginning. Don't push yourself too hard and get discouranged though. It is very doable.

Learn your basic Major - Minor - and 7th chords first, Pick up Pentonic scales next, then just go from there. And keep your ears open.

No its not that hard, i just started learning to play the guitar by teaching myself recently and Im still working on it.

Im sure having lessons will be alot easier for you since someone other then yourself is teaching you.

I know a couple of songs i can play throughout the whole song, but they are pretty easy and its very rewarding. You will then get yourself up to the harder ones once you get down the basics.

Good luck

well it depends .I'm just a beginner and had a couple lessons. And sometimes I have to force myself to practice i think the hardest part in the beging is finding the time to practice.I just practice on and off during the day.III practice for a few minutes the a bit later i practice longer.Just don't be nervous and don't give up.Try not to compare yourself to others.I mean whenever I listen to some music I would whine saying everyone is better then me.Try to remebre your just a beginner don't expect to be a pro.Just learning power chords and basics and practicing the same song or whatever over and over again you'll improve.Example today I been practicing the same short TAB over and over again.Take a break from prating if you want I sometimes take breaks from practicing. Then I just review and practice again

Yes, it's hard!!! Nothing ever worth while is easy, but just practice...a lot ! Takes some patience and self discipline, start with slower tunes, learn the notes and you'll be a pro in no time.

Some people are naturally fast learners. Some people are born with the right hand co-ordination to play guitar, other's don't. It's easy to some people, and hard for other people. It really depends on the natural gift and the patience.

depends if you have the gift for music or not, and then if if that gift incudes the ability to create or re-create or both.

get a book of tab and lean the scales, do exercises and memorize the notes in a scale on every position in the neck. start with A. then learn chords, chords are made from the note in a scale.

For me the guitar is extra good. I found out as a baby to play the piano and began out taking part in by using ear. i attempted some years in the past to verify the guitar and have been given so annoyed I provide up. i think it relies upon on the guy.

Go for it and find out. I love it, but I also practice as much as 2-3 hours a day.

Takes time and patience, you'll not be a rock star over night.

I taught myself how to play by just grabbing how-to book and found a song that I loved and wanted to learn how to play and sat down every day. Your fingers get sore at first but it's totally worth it. I love to play.
