DON'T try proactiv, especially if you want clearer skin within a few days. that stuff makes your skin break out before it gets any better. i would suggest taking a break from all the products you use and let your skin breathe.
swab a cotton ball dampened with hydrogen peroxide across your entire face, concentrating especially on your t-zone (forehead, nose, upper lip area, chin) where we tend to break out the most. this is a great way to clean your skin without being too harsh, i love it!
i took a week off of my acne products and my skin cleared up immediately, so you might be putting too much on, but i'm not sure exactly what you use.
also, if you can get your hands on pure vitamin e oil, put it on your face at night. i know, it's like "WHY would you put oil on your face?!" but it works SO well. you know how if you get a tan, your skin clears up? it's the vitamin e from the sun's rays, so if you're putting it directly on to your skin..
hope all works out well, relax! have fun during your first week.

Hormones is the culprit. Hormones is what gives you the out of control acne. My sister (extremely bad acne) found success using proactive. Remember these things will only treat the symptoms and you'll continuously be in a struggle to control it until your hormones level out. My other sister who also had really bad acne was able to gain success using products for extremely sensitive skin. Make sure you get rid of the things that help clog pores. If you are a big make up user then ditch the cream foundations. They will make it worse. Move to a more natural powdery makeup if you can (I suggest bareminerals). Then from studying esthetics, you need to keep your face clean. Use a sensitive cleansing product, and a non oily moisturizer. When you wash your face make sure you wash in warm water to open the poors and when cleansing use a loofah on your face. Wash your face twice a day and use the loofah once a day. When you're done washing splash your face with some cool water to close the pores. Avoid harsh exfoliants because these can cause pore breakage which will give you enlarged pores. Don't pick at your pimples for the same reason (and it can cause scars). My esthetician suggest purchasing a brand of cleanser such as dermalogica. She also said if you're strapped for cash neutrogena can also work if you get the skinID one. Truly getting rid of acne will always take time. If your parents have money or you work it may be worth it to invest in laser acne treatments. Most laser hair removal places also do the laser acne. It's like a miracle worker in getting rid of acne. Good luck!

NATURAL ACNE PROTOCOL
1/ Never, ever touch your face.
2/ Use 3 facecloths to wash your face, one to soap on, one to soap off with very hot water, one to rinse off with ice cold water, in that order, once a day.
3/ If you are under 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A once a day with a full meal
4/ If you are over 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A twice a day with a full meal.
Do not get pregnant while taking vitamin A. Do not take any more, like Accutane, it will stop you growing.
5/ Never, ever. pick, squeeze or pop your spot. Read number 1 again.
6/ Do this for 90 days.
7/ Invest in a brand new pillow and 2 new or more pillow cases to double bag' your pillow. HOT wash every couple of days.

A bit of advice given to me as a teenager, a bit of science as I am studying allergic reactions and vitamin A is a part of that. A bit of research: I sat in a lecture at the back and watched the acne prone pick at their faces, those with the worse acne touched their faces 32 times in an hour, the clearest complexions didn't touch their faces even once. I have circumstantial evidence that acne is the result of dermatophyte transfer from hands to face...where it does not get washed off and is well fed by hormones, sweat a
nd oil...just a hypothesis... But it would explain why vitamin A is so effective as vitamin causes skin to remove dermatophytes.
The secret is never to touch the spots
Tips on how to treat acne and achieve perfect clear skin in as little as 7 days?

Try Neutrogena Rapid Clear ... it works really fast. Zits are smaller the next day, almost completely gone the second. It does dry your skin out a little, so just use an oil free moisturizer. Proactiv is good too, but you have to wait for shipping and then a couple weeks for it to start working.

To get rid of acne/pimples, use an acne treatment with benzyl peroxide. To prevent acne from coming back, drink plenty of water every day. Use a daily face wash with salicylic acid in it to unclog dirt and oil from pores, which cause pimples. Make sure to moisturize every day too, because acne medicine will otherwise dry your face out. If your face thinks that it is being dried out, it will produce even more oil, causing acne. Hope I helped.

I would try Proactiv Solution. It works very well and you can start to see results after a few days of use. It's probably the best acne product on the market for any skin type!

first go into the bathroom, and pop all the acne bumps you see, then get a bottle of alcohol and cotton balls. put the alcohol on the cotton and use that to clean your face, be careful around your eyes, but if any gets in, flush with water. though of course, if you use make-up, you will get more acne faster, since it can clog your pores.
this works very well, i've been doing this for over 10, and people still think i'm around 20.

Honey, your parents need to take you to a dermatologist. If you have already tried, without success, over the counter, then it is time for prescription help.
The dermatologist will try the least expensive and lowest side effect medicine first, and keep trying treatments till one works for you. You need to keep going until then.
Sometimes - acne can be totally caused by chemicals in make up and hair care products, though. Follow my link for information about what ingredients are harmful. They are very common.

Hey, I am so with you. I just started this new formula.
In the morning and afternoon, I was my face with Neutrogena soap. Then i put on 5% Benzoyl Peroxide. At night I was my face with the same soap, then use Differin. You can buy everything but Differin at a store. You have to go to your doctor to get Differin. It works fast and easy.
