My gf is catholic and yesterday I posted in my blog a joke, saying that religious faith (not catholic but any) is an like an obsessive compulsive behavior. She got mad at me. She said that I offended her, but the truth is that I did that kind of jokes before i met her, so I think she should learn to accept my jokes or stop reading my blog. She says that its like if im mocking her and her family.
Do you really think i did wrong?

It doesnt matter if u did wrong. U r a man so never ask for her forgiveness. If u do, u better start to wear make up and dress with skirt and buy her a strap on she completely dominates you.

Tell her that this is your kind of humor, i had it before, and you ll keep it, either she likes it or not. If she doesnt, bye bye! its not about religion, is about changing the way you are.

A joke is a joke, I don't think that all blondes get mad when they hear a blonde joke. I am tall and people say things all the time about that in a joking way. Maybe she got mad because he knows that it is a true statement or something like that.

If you were that way before you met her, then stay true to who you are cause you will be unhappy trying to be some one else just to make her happy.

I think that if you love her, like her, then you should respect her no matter what. If you offended her then apologize for that. There is nothing wrong with saying sorry if you offended her. Just tell her how you feel, that she shouldnt read the jokes in that case.

It's your opinion. You never said her or catholicism; just in general. It's a known fact that religious people are the most close-minded and get offended over everything. Maybe this is a sign that you should not be together.

If ya'll are already having problems due to religious differences than I don't think this relationship is going to work out. Unless there's some sort of compromise with religious beliefs (or non-beliefs), then you might as well call it quits. gosh...that sounded harsh but it's necessary. also, if you can't be you than the relationship is pointless. you should always be able to be yourself.

You do not have to ask for her forgiveness, but you do have to sit her down, tell her I may do many jokes that offend you, but it is a joke, it is not meant to be hurtful to you or your parents. Lighten up, it is just a joke. Ask her to except you for who you are.

It depends on the joke but she clearly took it as offensive.
From what you wrote it could be taken as judgemental.

Just tell her the truth - that you know nothing about religion and just like to spout off!
