I am almost 38 weeks pregnant and I wiped a clear fluid this morning after urinating. There was a lot of fluid...it was to the point where it was dripping off the toilet paper. It had a little bit of white in it....what could it be?

this may be normal..the closer you get to delivery the more discharge your body will give off. When you have a discharge that is pinkish or red you may have lost your mucus plug. the plug that blocks the cervical opening. if the discharge is very water like then you may concider calling your ob. this may mean you are leaking amniotic fluids. that would be something to have the doc check out. if it is mucus like then i wouldn't worry. your mucus plug will be lost somewhere before labor...most likely a week to two before labor....however, there are women who don't know they have lost the plug. if it's really runny like fluid and not just a runny discharge, then your water may be leaking. if that's the case, then you need to get to the hospital b/c that barrier for infection has been broken and the hospital can take it from there.
i am 38 wks and i have noticed that my discharge has become more fluid, however, i know it's not my water leaking....or at least i think so, b/c i haven't had any other signs of labor.
so, if you have a worried feeling about it, then call you OB or if they are closed, then take a trip to the hospital...worst thing to happen...they examine you and send you home.

Could be, but the fluid is not all clear around the baby tho, ok? And at 38 weks, ur baby is fully formed and u have nothing to worry about1

Sounds like it might be your waters breaking, or perhaps the mucous plug passing. In any case, as long as you noticed no strange color or smell, it's perfectly normal. If you're not having contractions already, make sure you start preparing for them, and I'd recommend calling your doc if you don't trigger into labor within the next 24-36 hours.

It's possible you have passed your "plug". It's a normal thing that happens when you get close to giving birth. If you have a steady leak of clear fluid, it may be your water leaking. When it breaks, you'll know. (usually :P)

I would really go to your Doctor.
It could be amnio fluid, you know?
Better be safe than sorry.
A quick call and a walk in appointment will save you a lot of worry.

Try sitting on the toilet and doing your Kegle excercise and just hold it. If the fluid keep dripping out your water has broken. Stick on a pad pack your bags cause your going into labor babe!!! Welcome to motherhood!!

It could be any number of things don't panic you may be in labor if your having contractions time them it could also be normal leaking before labor I leaked for 2 weeks before I went into labor and doc said it was fine call your doctor if its making you uncomfortable. Must be your first huh?

Heh sounds like your water is leaking..mine did that with the first pregnancy..no need to RUSH to he hospital..get prepared and go..they will test if it is amniotic fluid or not..

It could have been your water. Are you having any contractions? Just to be safe, I would call your doctor to see what you should do, if anything.
