Funny how handyman said it but true, it will take a long long time for the torque converter to drain and yes you cannot drain it with it stil on the car.

What you can do is change the tranny fluid and then change it again. This way you will have some new fluid circulated into the torque converter.

Taking the torque converter off would mean you need to raise the engine on a Honda because it sits on the tranny and the subframe.

Unfortunatly there is no way to drain the torque converter. Even if you drain the transmission the Torque Converter will NOT drain, even half way as mentioned in another answer. This is because there is an anti drainback for the torque converter. Most automatics have this feature to prevent the torque converter from draining after sitting for long periods of time. This is done so that if you start your car and put it in gear right away the converter will already be full. If it wasn't the car would not move until the converter was fully charged with fluid, thus the anti drainback feature...
If you want all new fluid in the torque converter/transmission, it will require a flush, which is done with a transmission flushing machine.

When you drain your transmission the torque converter will drain about half way out. But without taking it out of the trans it can not be drained completely.

THE ONLY WAY TO DRAIN A TORQUE CONVERTER IS TO HAVE IT OUT OF THE CAR AND TURN IT UPSIDE DOWN FOR ABOUT A MONTH AND LET IT DRAIN OUT.

Take it to a transmission shop or punch a hole in it. You can not drain them, they have to be flushed. I could tell you have to flush it, but you would be better off having it done. If you really want to know contact me. There is always a way to cheat everything, but I woould suggesst to get it done by a professional.
