The logo was changed last year to PetSmart with Pet being in blue and Smart being in red.

This is a portion of the press release that was issued 8/25/05

In the television ads they are now saying "that's smart, PetSmart"

PetSmart...that is what it shows on the website, and pet and smart are two different colors, but it all runs together.

It was originally "PETsMART" (like Pet's Mart), but recently changed to "PetSmart"...

It's PetSmart...... They capatilize the S so its pet-smart. Of course they do this kind of thing intentionally just to get people thinking!!

It's actually both - it's a marketing ploy to convey that the store is a smart place to shop for your pet.
