I would choose to see because the world is changing so fast. When my grandmother was young, she was one of the first families to have a TV. Now we have cell phones, computers, Internet, we have landed on the moon. Seeing is believing, and when the world is changing so fast eye sight is necessary in order to know what is going on. No matter how imaginative you are, you can't imagine all the technological advances for a hundred year time span.

If you could, you could of invented it first!

I would choose to be blind and deaf because in a way everyone already is. People always see what they want to see and always hear what they want to hear. Well I have seen and heard enough in my lifetime to be satisfied so IF I had to choose I would rather be both.

I would go with seeing. If you can't hear you could always read notes that tell you what was said (or watch closed captions on TV instead of the sound there). If you can't see then you have a major problem in getting around and enjoying any scenery or the faces of your friends and family.

I would choose to see.

You can always learn to read lips, sign, caption etc. There is no alternative to seeing. There are far too many beautiful things in this world that I do not believe I could live without being able to see.

I would have to chose see, as you can be deaf and still be rather independent, can drive, live by yourself, etc. Blindness is more of a hindrance in today's world I am afraid. That is why the IRS gives a tax break to blind, but not to deaf persons.

Or I could just list my reason as "I have heard it all, and don't want to hear any more", but that would be glib, wouldn't it?

I'd choose to see because I'm an artist. I'd gladly give up hearing so I don't have to put up with all the stupid nonsense of people.

I would choose sight, since I could still move around and care for myself without much difficulty. I could also still watch TV, use a computer normally, and read printed materials.

I would choose to see. One can read lips, wear a hearing aid, learn sign... sight tools only help to a point. Best friend is blind:-)
