You answered your own question. If it's not cheating, why don't you tell him about it?

YES! I was chatting with another guy on the computer. It was alot of fun. My boyfriend and I were fighting and it seemed like we were ending. This guy would call me and we would talk about things that my boyfriend was not interested in. I was lying to this new guy, my boyfriend, and to myself that I could actually cheat. So I stopped it before it got out of hand. I have been spending more time with my boyfriend and getting to know him and we are stronger than ever. I never met this guy or had any kind of sexual things going on. I asked someone else if it was cheating and they asked me "It depends on how you feel". This guy was making me smile and asking me things about my life and things that were important to me. So that was when I knew that it was cheating.

In my opinion, it's cheating if you have romantic feelings toward them.... and if you feel like it's wrong, it probably is.
I have a friend who just left her husband for some guy she talked to on the internet for over a year with... she hadn't even met the guy in person, but still left her husband and traveled to Alabama to be with this new guy she hardly even knows.

If there are romantic feelings involved, I'd say that's a problem. If there isn't a reason for your hubby to get jealous and you are only trying to make new platonic friends, it would be wise to let your hubby know what's up so when he does find out, he won't think something's going on behind his back and he'll have nothing to be jealous about.

Yes, you can get caught up, tempted, and go through emotional infidelity. Folks on the internet can share detail about their life, share daily events, jokes, advice, etc. All of these things takes energy away from the marriage. You should be sharing your conversation with your husband not a stranger or chat buddy.

yes it is, because you are keeping it a secret. Would you want your husband talking to other women w/o your knowledge? Too many relationships are ruined because of people like you who think that it isn't cheating, just because your on the Internet. It is not different than meeting in public except that neither of you knows how ugly the other is.

You will answer your question by answering this one. Does it help your marriage if you talk to other guys on the Internet? If you are asking the question, you must feel it is cheating.

The fact that you feel the need to hide it from your husband IS cheating. Try telling him, see what he says. His reaction alone will answer your question.

I would say that would depend on 2 things, exactly what sort of chats you have and how he feels about such things. It might not be cheating as such (depending on the kinds of things you say in chat) but, it is disrespectful if you are doing something you know he would not be happy about.

Ask yourself this....

You know what you talk about with these guys....

How would you feel if your husband were doing the same thing with other women?

There is your answer.

You shouldn't be hiding things from your husband. You know what you are doing is wrong.
