You could try "The Centre for Alternative Technology" at Machynlleth in Wales.

Wales also has many hydroplants and wind farms. The former include some modern hydro-electrically powered factories in the Conway Valley and 18th Century tide mills and watermills all over Wales.

The French use nuclear power and the Scots a mixture of hydro and nuclear. The English use natural gas to generate power and the Germans lignite.
