Implantation takes place 6-12 days after conception and you can't get a positive pregnancy test prior to that. The implanted embryo releases hcg and that's what the test picks up. Two weeks is usually around the time your period would be due and that's *about* the earliest a test can show up positive. Yours is not all that unusual a case, though. Sometimes it just takes a while longer for the hcg levels in your urine to build up enough for a positive.

It normally depends on your body! and by how healthy you are! I know someone that took a pregnancy test one week after having un-protected sex and her test showed positive. But then again she is really healthy. And she had a healthy baby boy! and now she is pregnant with her second baby. but with her second baby she went to the doctor the day after she had sex, and the doctor said that she was pregnant. So basically it depends on your body, and how healthy you are, to find out if your pregnant or not!

mine was 9 weeks, I first tried a home preg. test it came up negative, then went to the doctor and took a urine test it came up negative. A couples weeks later I went in for a BI OP cause they found abnormal cyst on my ovaries before they went into to scrap the ovaries my doctor had the nurse do a blood test and it came back positive. At that time I was 9 weeks along!!

well it is suppose to be 2 weeks, but i would try 3 weeks, at least after your missed period. i took the test at 1 week and 3days because u suppose to be able to detect it early now but it said neg. but i still feel like i am preg. so im gone wait and see if my period comes i think u should the same. pregnancy test really ain't that cheap to just be takeing them early and wasteing money. just wait and if i doesn't come then take the test and don't stress about it, that can make your period come late

2 weeks - I took my test the day after I missed my period and it was positve. It does depends on the sensitivity of the different tests.

well hun then I would say you should go with your previous experience...you may not need to produce a lot of the hormone they detect.....it doesn't matter if my sister had a positive result a week before her period was due, it sounds like you might not be able to count on others experiences.
